Living costs
Here is an estimate of living costs for one semester at EPSCI. Certain fees are more expensive for non European Union students who can not benefit from French government student subsidies (unless enrolled for a full year of study).

Transport | There is a free shuttle bus between the residences and the campus. Travel to/from Paris: The journey to central Paris takes around 35 minutes and costs around 5.60 euros one-way. A monthly railcard if you live in Paris costs around 105 euros per month, but if you stay for the year you can get a 9 month “Imagine’R” card which works out at 67 euros per month*. | |
Groceries | Approximately 50 euros per week. | |
Textbooks | Most professors provide the necessary materials in the form of handouts. Count on a maximum of 100 euros for stationery and textbooks. | |
French Social Security health coverage | International students who enrol in a French educational institution for more than 3 months as of 1st October of the academic year are legally obliged to enrol in the French Social Security Healthcare system. The rules are different depending on your nationality and the length of your stay in France: EU students: are covered by the European Health Card. Non EU students: * Fall semester: Students must have their own Private Medical Insurance. * Spring semester, Full Year or Double Degree students: mandatory enrolment in the French Social Security system, which costs around 190 euros*. | |

Campus
EPSCI classes take place on the Cergy campus.
Social life

35 different individual and team sports, 30 sports events as “le tournoi des 5 ballons” (inter-university tournament)
• Over
70 clubs and societies (travel, music, theatre, culture, gastronomy, charity and humanitarian work, organization of talks by celebrity guest speakers…)
• The
EPSCI Student Union known as the BDE (‘Le Bureau des Elèves’) organizes many of the social events which make the students’ time at EPSCI so memorable: the annual cabaret evening, the EPSCI Gala, a ski trip, student excursions…
• The
EPSCI Worldwide Welcome (WWW) aims to make international students feel at home from the outset. WWW holds welcome activities during the orientation session and organizes excursions and social events during their stay. WWW also arranges student ‘buddy’ partnerships to facilitate contacts between EPSCI students and their international classmates.
