The ESSEC Ph.D. Program introduces students to the international environment by enabling them to participate in international conferences, university exchange programs, and by the presence of internationally based professors.
Why study business in France? An Indian alumnus point of view.
Each year, students actively participate in top-level international conferences.
The Ph.D. Program supports their participation by financing all or part of registration fees, living expenses, and transportation if students present a paper.
University exchange programs
Students in the Ph.D. Program can spend several months at universities outside France, both in Europe and the United States.
International professors
The faculty includes many professors from outside France, and visiting professors also participate in the ESSEC Ph.D. Program seminars.
Many ESSEC Ph.D. Program alumni are currently teaching in universities and research centers in the United States, Canada, South-East Asia, and North Africa.
Our Ph.D. Program is unique in its international focus: international curriculum and degree, international faculty and students body, and the opportunity of an international career.
Most permanent faculty members hold a French or American Ph.D. or equivalent qualification. Each year, the faculty publish some fifteen books and sixty articles in professional or scientific journals. The ESSEC Business School faculty has achieved an international reputation, contributing to ESSEC's renown and brand image. The AACSB and the Equis accreditations reflect this quality.
