What is new at IMHI?


For the 6th year in a row, IMHI Ranked N° 1 among Hotel and Tourism Post Graduate Degrees in France



The MBA in International Hospitality Management, offered by the Institut de Management Hôtelier International (IMHI), has been ranked Number 1 among Hotel and Tourism Post Graduate degrees in France.

The ranking was established by  SMBG, a consultancy specialised in higher education. SMBG based their ranking on interviews with both graduates and recruiters. The results are validated by a Committee which includes a representative from the French ministry with special responsibility for research.

Three key criteria are retained for the ranking: recognition of the programme, salary on graduation, and satisfaction of the graduates.

Apprenticeship open to all International Students



The apprenticeship scheme which enables students under the age of 26 to finance 100 % of their studies and to earn a salary is now open to all international students.
However a good knowledge of French is compulsory to secure an apprenticeship contract as all apprenticeships take place in or around Paris.

ESSEC features in international rankings



ESSEC makes its first appearance in the Wall Street Journal’s rankings for the preferred MBA of top recruiters across the world. ESSEC has come out in 7th position in the world and first position in France in the international "Top Business Schools recruiters’ MBA Picks" rankings. The ESSEC Specialized Master’s in Strategy and Management of International Business (or "SIAI") comes out in 5th position in the Financial Times best Master’s in Management rankings, an improvement of one place in comparison to last year.

For the fifth year running, the IMHI MBA in International Hospitality Management has been ranked Number one among tourism and hospitality Post Graduate degrees in France.

The two directors of IMHI also received the award of Best Program Directors, based on interviews with graduates.

Three full scholarships awarded by Accor to IMHI students



In June 2006 ESSEC and ACCOR signed a partnership awarding a full scholarship to three students from the developing world.
This year, the locations selected by ACCOR were India, China and Brazil. Three IMHI students benefited from the scholarships, Ilan Alkaim from Brazil, Wang Rui from China and Gaurav Gupta from India, after meeting ACCOR Regional directors in those parts of the world. Ultimately, ACCOR would like to see these students joining their group at the end of their studies.
