The International Field Trips: direct exposure to international markets Two main objectives: - To expose participants to emerging luxury brand markets and mature international markets. - To confront participants with the reality of these markets Meetings with executives and market analysts during 4-7 day trips. Written report The first field trip takes place in international markets (Japan, USA, Greater China), the second one in Italy. Japan: Tokyo Greater China: Hong Kong, Shanghai USA: New York The Luxury Global Field Project: a hands-on, consulting mission for luxury brands Held during the final period (June-July), teams of 3 to 4 participants are assigned a mission within a specific company. They act in a consultancy capacity on a number of aspects identified as being of strategic importance by the company itself (including brand positioning, distribution, retail, and communications). Team followed by an Essec professor & a company representative A presentation of the final results is organized for the company staff and a written report is submitted. - Participating companies: L’Oreal, Firmenich, Baccardi, Montblanc, TFWA, Gucci Group, Cartier, Ermenegildo Zegna, Chanel, Sephora… The CEO conferences Interacting with top executives from the luxury and prestige sector Wednesday afternoons generally used for CEO conferences: lectures by partners and contributors in specific courses, workshops or conferences. Executives from the luxury and prestige companies worldwide also give lectures during filed trips, providing further exposure to global markets.
