ESSEC MBA International Luxury Brand Management: curriculum



The overall objectives of ESSEC MBA International Luxury Brand Management cover several areas, including approaching problems from global perspectives, as well as being involved in matter-of-fact realities of daily management of a company. Developing theory and concepts, yet knowing how to build individual or team commitment. Being close to innovation and creation, two major components of development and success in luxury brands. Leadership skills for the luxury and prestige industry, creating value, managing change. Our MBA participants use their theoretical knowledge during the field trip, the boutique internship and the global field project. Career services are provided.

Four phases of courses


Each phase includes courses and seminars. There are also complementary conferences and visits to key companies.

Professional experience


Our company partners allow MBA participants to put theoretical knowledge into practice in three different ways:
a one-week field trip to New York or to one of Asia’s key countries to explore the market and meet prestige companies’ top executives (Richemont, LVMH, L’Oréal, etc.);
a two-day boutique internship in Paris giving a customer service experience in selective retailing (Dior, Guerlain, Le Bon Marché, Cartier, Giorgio Armani, etc.);
and a global field project which is a two-month consulting mission.

Career services and after graduation


A Career Services Office provides on-going career orientation and support to help students search for a suitable position. The CV book of student profiles is sent in March to key companies in the luxury and prestige sector, and is also available on-line.

Graduates of the MBA in International Luxury Brand Management rapidly find management positions in the luxury and prestige area, in Europe, Asia or the rest of the world. There is an alumni network specific to the MBA, and of course the ESSEC label also provides access to the ESSEC Alumni network of more than 26000 people, managed by the ESSEC Alumni Association.
