Advanced Master in Financial Techniques: program

The Advanced Master in Financial Techniques, entirely based in France or partly based in France and Singapore, is an intensive, in-depth program focused on corporate finance and financial markets. Courses cover a wide range of sophisticated financial techniques as well as hands-on experience from some of the best professionals in the field.
Participants acquire the technical skills needed for a career in front offices of dealing rooms (trading, sales of shares, rating products and derivatives), or for portfolio management, financial analysis and assessment, and mergers-acquisitions. A company internship or field project is required at the end of the program, along with a professional thesis.

Study in France, or in France and in Asia: The Advanced Master’s two tracks

The track “Financial Markets & Corporate Finance” focuses on corporate finance and financial markets to address corporations’ and financial institutions’ needs for financial experts.

The track “Financial Engineering Asia” partly based in Singapore focuses on trade finance and financial engineering to address international intermediaries’ growing needs for financial experts (banks, insurance companies, institutional investors).

A one-week study tour outside France

Experience the fact that financial markets all function in the same way worldwide in spite of variations in the financial environment (clients, investors, regulations...) during a study tour outside France during the second quarter in Cergy, for students of the Financial Markets & Corporate Finance track. Over the last few years, the Master’s class has visited London, Singapore and New York.

A company internship and a professional thesis

A 4 to 6-month internship with companies, investment banks, financial intermediaries, investment and management companies, and consulting firms, in France or elsewhere (from April to end September) serves as the basis for the professional thesis. The thesis must meet a real need within the company and combine a conceptual approach with operational implementation.

Each student receives support and advice in defining his professional project and also benefits from the services of the  Corporate / Student Relations Department for the Specialized Master’s program
