Specialized Master in Management of Information Systems and Telecommunication Networks a guarantee of quality for companies

For companies, the ESSEC-TELECOM ParisTech Specialized Master in Management of Information Systems and Telecommunication Networks is a guarantee of quality. Firms are both the professional and educational partners of our students.

Some history…

In 1986, ESSEC created the Specialized Master’s in Information and Decision Systems Management (ESSID) with 200 graduates as of today. The program changed significantly in 1996 to take into account fundamental IS trends and IS decentralization and distribution, evolving towards the management of distributed information systems in a work-study format, with the partnership of TELECOM ParisTech.

ESSEC and TELECOM ParisTech: a combination of complementary expertise

Because distributed information system management requires both management skills and expertise in information systems, computers, and telecommunications, ESSEC and TELECOM ParisTech joined forces in 1996 to design the program, select candidates, involve the faculty, welcome participants, and provide access to their alumni and corporate networks in a joint venture between the two establishments.

A long-term relationship with companies

Proximity to the professional world is an essential component of the Master’s program. Right from the time of admission, professionals are included in the admissions jury. During the school year, some of the courses and conferences are led by professionals. They are also present during company or law office internships and during the professional thesis vivas. Professionals also provide apprenticeship opportunities and a framework for apprenticeship contracts.
