Advanced Master in International Food Industry Management: A relevant Master's program
To complement the individual learning process, students from diverse backgrounds work in teams during courses and role playing games, as well as during various projects like the study tour and other non-academic activities. Agricultural engineers and students in life and veterinary science account for 85% of the student body. Others come from a wide variety of sectors: economics, management, law, and so forth. On average, 10% of students already have professional experience, and 10% are from outside France. The average age is 24. |

On the agenda in Madrid were meetings with French and multinational companies with a presence in Spain (Carrefour, Schweppes, Cap Gemini, Ernst & Young, Makro – Groupe Metro), a visit of San Miguel, a major Spanish company, and a meeting with the Economic Mission at the French Embassy. |

The leading European university in food and agribusiness, Wageningen Agricultural University (Netherlands) and its MBA program welcomed students from the ESSEC Advanced Master’s Program for a 4-day seminar in English to inform students on the challenges of information technology in food production. |
Round table on "Local Products and Mass Retailing – What Legitimacy?”
What are the values associated to the concept of locally-produced, traditional products? How are they perceived by consumers? How can we adapt this concept to products sold on the mass market? These were the topics covered in the round table discussion organized in February 2004 with Carrefour, Reflets de France, INAO, and C.Capital. |
The “Oenology” and “Tastes and Traditions” clubs
Traditionally, Advanced Master’s students participate in the “Oenology” and “Tastes and Traditions” clubs along with the Student Council of the ESSEC Advanced Master’s Programs. They offer the Advanced Master’s community regular sessions where their fellow students can discover and taste traditional products and local wines. |

The Advanced Masters are professional post master (M) programmes.
This LABEL was created in 1986 by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles.
The Conference des Grandes Ecoles federates the most prestigious French business and engineering schools. In 2007, it had 116 members. Since its creation in 1986, 65 500 students have graduated from Advanced Masters. |  |
