Carole Ceizeirat, an agricultural engineer from ENSA (Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique) in Montpellier and a graduate of the Advanced Master in International Food Industry Management (Class of 1998), is currently assistant manager in the “Efficient Consumer Response” department at Carrefour France. She explains her career path.
Why did you choose the ESSEC Advanced Master’s Program? As an agronomist, I wanted to deepen my knowledge of a variety of fields such as marketing, procurement, and management control, but without moving too far away from the specifics of my initial training. I chose the ESSEC Advanced Master in International Food Industry Management because the program can be adjusted to meet career needs thanks to a broad range of courses that include completely new subjects.
What are you doing today? Following an internship with Carrefour, I was recruited by the “Executive France” department. Today, I work on developing sales in the food sector. More specifically, I’m in charge of implementing an information system for traditional fresh food products. I also help provide support for various studies and tests carried out with ECR (efficient consumer response) partners.
In retrospect, what do you think of the ESSEC Advanced Master’s Program? I can say it in a single sentence. We leave the Advanced Master’s Program with our heads full of new ways of thinking, paths to explore, with an open mind and acute curiosity! | ![]() |

Pierre Bougrain, an engineer from ISAB (Institut Supérieur d’Agriculture de Beauvais) and a graduate of the Advanced Master in International Food Industry Management (Class of 2002), is a management controller and human resources director with Amora Maille (Unilever Bestfoods). He describes his career path.
Why did you choose the ESSEC Advanced Master’s Program? After five exciting years in agricultural production, I decided to hone my managerial skills to be eligible for top executive positions as rapidly as possible. I chose the ESSEC Advanced Master in International Food Industry Management because the program made it possible for me to learn about the various functions involved in the agribusiness sector while still specializing in management control and finance.
Given your past experience, what did the Advanced Master’s Program give you? Going back to school in such a high-quality program after an initial period in the working world is extremely enriching. The theoretical aspects of the program were particularly fascinating as I was able to link these to experiences I had in the field. I took 200% advantage of the teaching and entered Unilever Bestfoods on graduation wearing two caps – that of a management controller and a human resources manager! | ![]() |
