Incubators

The incubator is designed for students whose project is to establish businesses. Located on the Cergy-Pontoise campus, students have access to coaching, counselling from ESSEC Ventures partners, offices and administrative and logistical support.

1- What are the requirements for admission to the ESSEC incubator?

One must be a student at ESSEC and have already designed one's business plan. To have certified the ESSEC Ventures network training courses is strongly recommended but not required. The selection criteria are based upon the business plan and a motivational probe interview with the director of the incubator.

2- I am a student but not in the ESSEC MBA program, am I eligible?

Yes. Any student may be admitted to ESSEC: EPSCI, Masters, Executive MBA, General Management.

3- I have assembled a team whose members are not at ESSEC. Is my project eligible?

Yes, provided that at least one ESSEC student is one of the founders and the latter has a significant role.

4- How long is the incubation period?

The average incubation period is 9 months but can be shortened or extended depending upon the start-up needs and/or arbitration of the Director (graduation ...).

 

5- Insofar as support, what type will I find in the incubator?

- Coaching by the director of the incubator
- Meetings with expert partners of ESSEC Ventures
- Reference and legal materials
- Desks, telephones, Internet access and a copy centre
- Support provided for participation in entrepreneurship contests
- Being eligible to apply for the seed fund.
