Students with projects to create a business may acquire the knowledge and methodological tools necessary for successful implementation.

By their multidisciplinary and action-oriented nature, teaching entrepreneurship in the sector also allows students to progress towards the synthesis and the practical knowledge acquired in the management courses.

Participation in the teachings of the entrepreneurship network is strongly recommended for entrepreneur students interested in profiting from ESSEC Ventures' operational support: welcoming into the incubator and seed fund participation.

Continuing Education

Our experience serving your entrepreneurial aspirations

ESSEC Ventures has set up systems to support the creation of businesses targeted specifically to professional people.

Women entrepreneurs

Many women seek to start their business because they wish to leave their firm or because they have difficulty entering the world of traditional work or they have left despite themselves.
ESSEC offers training dedicated to women, articulated in partnership with women's professional networks, to provide the basic legal, marketing, accounting and strategic knowledge to start and sustain their project. Throughout their journey, they are supported in the best possible conditions to help the maturation and development of their projects.

According to a study by Viviane de Beaufort (ESSEC Professor), corroborated by APCE and the Ministry of Economy Finance and Employment, only 28 % of TPE/PME entrepreneurs are women. Some telling statistics show significant differences that now exist between men and women in the business world: 70% cite the difficulty of reconciling family and professional life, 19% find it difficult to access markets and customers and 16% find it difficult to obtain financing.

Though, 71% of women entrepreneurs consider it is not more difficult for them to manage a company than it is for men and 75 % would jump right back into the adventure if they had to. Based on this study, ESSEC and a number of professionals have come together to create a program "Women entrepreneurs" to respond to the need of Women business creators.
