ESSEC develops a partnership to create startups in the heart of Silicon Valley

ESSEC Business School, Schoolab and UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology join forces to offer students from ESSEC and any other university the opportunity to launch their startup in Silicon Valley. This strong collaboration focuses on Le Bridge program. Le Bridge is a 10 month-long curriculum that gives students, from any university, a deep understanding of innovation and the entrepreneurial process, and the unique opportunity to build a team and launch their project in Silicon Valley.

The program starts at UC Berkeley, within the Startup Fellowship program. From August to December, students will work with Berkeley engineering students on a new venture idea.
“ESSEC Business School continuously pursues excellence & aims at responding to the challenges of the future through strong partnerships, locally and globally. Given the long-standing trust and collaboration with Schoolab, ESSEC believes the next step to provide the best for its students is to open the doors to greater opportunities”, declared Vincenzo Esposito Vinzi, Dean and President of ESSEC Business School.

Le Bridge then continues in Paris from February to July, where students will accelerate their projects at Schoolab Paris supported by top-notch mentors and experts from ESSEC and Schoolab community.

“This partnership embodies the pioneering spirit of ESSEC, the catalytic nature of Schoolab, the forward-thinking mindset of UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, and our common drive for excellence“, stated Ken Singer, Managing Director of the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship & Technology.

Many of ESSEC Business School distinguished alumni have completed Le Bridge in the past, building prosperous ventures such as Vincent Nallantamby with Tempow, Pierre Emmanuel Saint Esprit with HelloZack, Hector Balas with Impala and more.

“Schoolab is a unique place where we help young professionals to become tomorrow’s leaders. We provide them with methods, a network and our experience to reveal their talents in entrepreneurship. This program is a great accelerator for early-stage startups”, mentioned Jean-Claude Charlet, Co-founder and CEO of Schoolab.
Applications are open to ESSEC and any other university students. The next cohort will start in August 2018. Students can apply until May 15th. For further information, send mail to
