The ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA has again risen in the international rankings. The joint programme, offered by ESSEC Business School and Mannheim Business School, has climbed five places in 2020 in The Economist, reaching 12th place. The QS World University has ranked the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA in 8th place this year, an improvement of 2 spots.

 The Economist's 2020 ranking recognizes the quality of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA, giving it 12th place in the rankings released on Monday, June 29th, 2020, a rise of five spots from the last ranking in 2018. It is thus ranked 1st in France and 7th in Europe. 

The Economist identified three strengths amongst the criteria: 

  • The power of the school's alumni network: The ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA placed 4th place, thanks to the ESSEC chapters all over the world.
  • Career progression: The program ranked 2nd internationally on this criterion, which shows that the majority of the program's graduates received a promotion.
  • Diversity of the participants: The diversity in the program's cohorts placed it amongst the best EMBAs in the world, in 10th position.

The QS World University ranking also highlight several strengths

QS also published its 2020 Executive MBA ranking on June 30th, 2020. The ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA placed 8th in the Joint Executive MBA category, an improvement of two places from the 2019 ranking. 

Four indicators in particular demonstrated the program's strength, according to QS. The promotions and the diversity of the program, also identified by The Economist, were again highlighted, along with other indicators. 

  • Salary progression: With an average salary progression of 48% between beginning the program and one year after finishing it, the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive MBA received a score of 85.5 on 100. 
  • Promotion: The program received an excellent score (97/100), with 77% of graduates stating that they received a promotion following their EMBA.
  • Nationalities represented in the program: Thanks to the 29 different nationalities in the last cohort, the program received a 98.7/100.
  • The average amount of years of experience held by participants: The quality of the participants' pre-EMBA experience allowed the program to receive an 84/100.
