The success of an apprenticeship depends largely on the positions offered to the apprentices, and on having a good match between the candidates’ motivation and the profiles required to meet the company's needs effectively. An ongoing dialogue between the CFA and the companies is essential.

The offer must include a precise definition of the tasks and activities entrusted to the apprentice, a brief description of the company, the service, the apprentice’s profile, and a training proposal. This can be provided by ESSEC or the company and must support the apprentice and enhance his or her ability to successfully complete the relevant tasks. Tasks and activities entrusted to apprentices can involve several departments in France or elsewhere.

Through  joboffers@essec.fr, companies offer apprenticeship jobs to ESSEC students, who are informed through the intranet. Companies can also present their offers to participating students directly.

If the company so wishes, the CFA can centralize the applications of students interested in the job offer and send them to the company. But apprenticeship candidates can also seek their own contracts, in which case the CFA must be kept informed of ongoing contacts between students and companies. The company can choose the types of selection and recruitment procedures that best suit its needs (applications, tests, interviews…).

The Apprenticeship Training Center at ESSEC works with companies to build and implement the apprenticeship programs in a spirit of cooperation. In compliance with legal stipulations and in the spirit of partnership, the Center undertakes to mobilize all necessary resources.
