ESSEC Companies and partners: Apprenticeship governance

Apprenticeship takes place in a multi-supervisory context. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Versailles Val d'Oise-Yvelines and companies are represented. The government is also represented by the apprenticeship service of the Region, as well as that of the Rectorate (Ministry of Education).

Institutional supervision

To manage the apprenticeship framework, ESSEC has created an Apprenticeship Training Center ("Centre de Formation des Apprentis" - CFA) with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Val d’Oise – Yvelines. This initiative has been approved by the Ile de France Region (the local authority for apprenticeship initiatives) which has a role as financial controller. Educational supervision is provided by the Service Académique de l’Inspection de l’Apprentissage (academic department for apprenticeship inspection).

Managing apprenticeship programs

ESSEC's CFA adapts its practices to the needs of the professional world. The steering committee includes ESSEC program directors, the faculty, human resource directors, apprentice supervisors, and apprentices. The Center organizes meetings for sharing ideas and professional experience.

The CFA quality contract

The CFA has reached an agreement with the Ile de France Region to optimize its organization, improve service quality, and communicate its requirements to different partners in a more effective way. These efforts to improve quality contribute to spreading and applying good practices in ESSEC programs.
