Departments

A department groups together professors who share complementary expertise in their discipline. Instruction and curriculum are developed and coordinated for all ESSEC programs in these departments under the management of the department head, who is chosen by his or her colleagues. ESSEC currently has eight departments.

Education and research

The Accounting & Management Control Department teaches students and executives accounting and management control methods and practices as well as how to conduct research on these topics.
The coursework seeks to provide the basic knowledge essential to all managers and to educate students who seek careers requiring specific expertise in these disciplines.

Faculty

The Accounting & Management Control Department has 20 full-time faculty and 17 part-time lecturers.

ESSEC KPMG Financial Reporting Chair

In 2005, the first year publicly traded companies were required to comply with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ESSEC Business School created the Financial Reporting Chair in partnership with KPMG.
Its primary objective is to set the standard for excellence in the areas of information for Financial Reporting markets in general and IASB global financial information standards in particular.
