Departments

A department groups together professors who share complementary expertise in their discipline. Instruction and curriculum are developed and coordinated for all ESSEC programs in these departments under the management of the department head, who is chosen by his or her colleagues. ESSEC currently has eight departments.

Education and research

The Marketing Department provides students in the different ESSEC programs with a general grounding in marketing as well as advanced courses in the various marketing fields, such as consumer behavior and market research. Students can also take specialized courses in different sectors through the department’s four Chairs.

Faculty

The department has 24 full-time faculty and 29 part-time lecturers from both the business world and doctoral program.

The International Sports Marketing Chair is an educational and research program designed to meet the needs of an increasingly professionalized sector. Seminars, general and specialized courses, and a real-world approach (case studies involving partner companies) help students master the strategic and tactical uses of sports.
