DepartmentsSector specific and interdisciplinary approaches

Departments

A department groups together professors who share complementary expertise in their discipline. Instruction and curriculum are developed and coordinated for all ESSEC programs in these departments under the management of the department head, who is chosen by his or her colleagues. ESSEC currently has eight departments.

Sector-specific and interdisciplinary approaches to management

Seminars and courses (offered by different departments, such as Management and Accounting) explore the complexity of management situations with the support of diverse theories based in the social sciences, such as psychology, sociology and philosophy.

Their goal is to create an alternative form of management that respects intercultural and interpersonal differences and that contributes to the mutually satisfying development of organizations and their members.
