The ESSEC Center of Excellence for Impact Entrepreneurship showcases ESSEC’s research and expertise on entrepreneurship, and aims to forge a global community of entrepreneurs with training, coaching and funding, and strategic partnerships with leading entrepreneurship communities in Asia and Europe.
Prof. Kevyn YONG, Academic Dean, ESSEC Asia-Pacific
Prof. Kevyn YONG is the Academic Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific and an Associate Professor of Management at ESSEC. He has been recognized for teaching excellence, notably being awarded the Pedagogy Innovation Prize by the HEC Foundation and making the Dean’s Honor Roll at the S.C. Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. He received his Ph.D. from the S.C. Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. He also holds undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from the National University of Singapore and a Masters degree in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard University. His research has been published in Management, Economics, and Psychology journals.
Prof. Hamid BOUCHIKHI, Director, Center of Excellence for Impact Entrepreneurship
Prof. Hamid BOUCHIKHI is Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at ESSEC and a leading European Researcher in the areas of organisation theory, entrepreneurship and managerial innovation. Prof. Bouchikhi is also the Director of the Center of Excellence for Impact Entrepreneurship, and founder and Academic Director of ESSEC Ventures, an entrepreneurship center dedicated to providing training, coaching, logistical support and financing to student entrepreneurs. He is past President of the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Small Business Network (EISB) and has been a Visiting Professor to Keio University, Tokyo, University of Putra, Malaysia Graduate School of Management and to Wharton School, Pennsylvania. He has authored and co-authored several books, articles and book chapters. He holds a Doctorat en Méthodes Scientifiques de Gestion, Université Paris IX Dauphine.
ESSEC signed a MOU with the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) in August 2015. ACE helps aspiring entrepreneurs start up by building a community and connecting them to resources, people and knowledge. The partnership aims to create bridges and opportunities in order to help Singaporean and Asian start-ups enter the French and greater European market, as well as help French and European start-ups enter the Singapore and greater Asia-Pacific market.

ESSEC Ventures is the structure for ESSEC entrepreneurs. It consists of training programs, an incubator, a talent incubator, a dedicated seed fund and events that bring entrepreneurs and investors together.
Since its creation, ESSEC Ventures:

- funded 25 companies
- signed 40 external partnership agreements
- boasts a 72% 5-year survival rate (compared with 30% average)
