ESSEC Ventures announces Silicon Valley presence via partnership with HubTech 21
Cergy, September 7, 2012 - ESSEC Ventures, the entrepreneurship division of the ESSEC Group, conscious of the ever-increasing appetite of its start-ups to be in Silicon Valley, has signed a partnership with San Francisco-based Hubtech 21.
Hubtech 21 is an accelerator for entrepreneurs seeking to develop their businesses in the U.S. Hubtech 21 provides coaching and dedicated workspace to companies with high-tech projects. In addition, it enables start-ups to access the well-established “French Connection” in Silicon Valley. Hubtech 21 is also a partner of New Technology Venture Accelerator (NETVA), which provides personalized coaching, helps companies analyze their opportunities, and assists in the development of technology partnerships between France and the U.S.
Julien Morel, Executive Director of ESSEC Ventures, declared that “last year alone, no less than three ESSEC Ventures companies set up in California (OneFeat, Bankin, and eLive) and the majority of the other companies would, at some point, like to develop their businesses in the U.S. This partnership ties in to our mission at ESSEC to provide our student entrepreneurs with an opportunity to gain a global vision of business and receive guidance regarding their launch in the US”.
“Welcoming ESSEC Ventures entrepreneurs is a unique opportunity for Hubtech 21”, stated Xavier Wartelle, CEO of Hubtech 21. “Through this partnership, ESSEC Ventures will benefit not only from immersion in the very heart of Sillicon Valley’s ecosystem, the most dynamic and innovating technological hub in the U.S, but also from strong connections with the key players in Valley’s French community. Our goal is to answer international needs for these future entrepreneurs. I’m very happy that Hubtech 21 can participate in this ambitious project, and reinforce ESSEC Ventures’s entrepreneurial presence in the U.S.”.
