IRENE and ADI contribute to United Nations Conference on CBRN Centres of Excellence

Professor Aurélien Colson (Director, IRENE Paris & Singapore) and Ambassador Jean-Claude Cousseran (Secretary General, Académie Diplomatique Internationale, Paris) will contribute to a high-level conference on the CBRN Centres of Excellence.

This initiative was launched by the European Union to mitigate risks resulting from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) materials. These risks can be accidental, natural or intentional.

The IRENE-ADI consortium has been reflecting with the European Commission Directorate General on Development and Cooperation (DEVCO) and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) on the governance of the Centres of Excellence. IRENE and the ADI already took part to a high level meeting in Brussels on 14-15 May 2012.
