The Relationship with Success: ESSEC and the CSA Institute Publish the Results of an International Study
On Thursday ESSEC revealed the results of an international study on success which it conducted in partnership with the CSA Institute.
In all of the countries the study looked at (Germany, Brazil, China, the US, France, India, Morocco, the United Kingdom, Russia and Singapore), the feeling of having achieved success in life is shared by an overwhelming majority amongst the upper socio-professional categories surveyed.
Although one’s professional life is very closely connected to the feeling of success, it is first and foremost the relationship with one’s nearest and dearest (colleagues, family, friends) which seems to offer a universal definition of the idea of success.
Through this study, ESSEC sought to explore the notion of success and its components across the world.
- What does it mean to achieve success in life?
- Is there a universal definition of success?
- What are the trade-offs between one’s personal and professional life?
- What are the real attributes of success?
- Are some countries or cultures more conducive to creating success than others?
