ESSEC Executive Education launches an international modular version of its General Management Program
ESSEC Executive Education has announced the launch of an international modular version of its flagship management program for top executives, General Management, to begin in March 2014.
Like the classic format, the program is designed for CXOs and other top managers seeking to follow core general management coursework – mainly in finance and accounting, marketing, leadership, and operations, among others, and to create a strong professional network with other executives.
The new program will be taught entirely in English, however, and will include international residencies in Turkey and South Africa and will feature a modular format allowing executives to balance their professional and personal responsibilities.
Created more than 30 years ago for executives in their mid -to late- 40s, ESSEC’s General Management program is one of school’s most popular executive programs certified by the Conférence des Grande Ecoles, which represents France’s top business and engineering schools. It targets top professionals wishing to consolidate everything they’ve learned from years of professional and personal experience, awaken their strategic vision and redirect their managerial approach. The program pushes professionals to confront the difficulties of globalization head on, detect new opportunities for growth, drive change, and mobilize and motivate teams. Reaching these goals requires an honest assessment of one’s self and limitations, which is facilitated through individual and group coaching throughout the program. “We invite our participants to embark on a journey during which they’ll reinforce their skill set, renew their ways of looking at the business world and reach outside of their comfort zone, all while developing a tight network of fellow managers from diverse sectors,” said Philippe-Pierre Dornier, Academic Director of the program and Director of ESSEC Executive Education.
Made up of 8 modules occurring over 10 months, it boasts a modular format: two 5-day modules from Monday to Friday, four 6-day modules from Wednesday to Wednesday and two residencies abroad – one in Turkey over four days and one in South Africa over six days.
Module 1 – Creating your Vision: Strategic Management for CXOs
Module 2 – Driving Company Change through Global Finance and Accounting
Module 3 – International Strategy for Global Firms
Module 4 – Business Development in Emerging Countries (Study Trip at Galatasaray University in Turkey)
Module 5 – Marketing and Product Innovation in a Digital Economy
Module 6 – Leadership, Decision Making and Firm Behavior in Dynamic Business Environments
Module 7 – African Approaches to Leadership and Entrepreneurship (At University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa)
Module 8 – Operations Management: Service Improvement and Cost Reduction In addition to the coursework and coaching, participants carry out a Strategic Project during which they act as consultants for an organization of their choice, applying their strategic analysis skills to a real-life case.
