Welcome to the Public and Private Policy Department

Department faculty offers courses that provide ESSEC students with general training in business law and ensure them understand the challenges of territorial and environmental management. The department offers the legal program, and seminars in 3 Chairs and 2 Institutes.

The legal program

The legal professions are open to graduates with dual degrees in law and business. The ESSEC Legal Program has been designed to provide the specific legal training required to understand legal reasoning and/or to prepare entry to the Ecole de formation professionnelle des Barreaux de Paris (Paris Bar School).

Three aspects of professional hiring

In a school that emphasizes social and management responsibility, it is essential that courses cover three aspects: corporate territorial and environmental strategy, management and strategy of local communities, and property economics and management

Full-time faculty

The department includes 10 full-time faculty members, whose resumes can be consulted, and 33 part-time lecturers.

IRENE's research program also includes case studies and simulations that are then included in training programs for professionals.

The ESSEC-BNP Paribas Real Estate Chair

The increasingly financial nature of the real estate business, the development and globalization of property markets, and the increasing importance of the position of real-estate director in corporate strategy have given rise to new issues in the property sector. The Real Estate Chair offers students theoretical and practical courses, research conferences and seminars, and meetings with professionals from the real estate sector.
