Welcome to the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department


The aim of the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department is threefold:

- Contribute to theoretical and empirical academic research at a recognized international standard
- Participate in knowledge dissemination to undergraduates, doctoral students and professionals
- Analyze empirical issues and provide practical advice, whether from an academic perspective or to corporations


The activities of the Department revolve around the analysis of quantitative and qualitative information. This is grouped into three areas:

- Information systems
- Modelling of data (statistics, econometrics, forecasting),
- Scientific management methods and decision science (decision analysis, game theory, operational research)


Department members belong to international research networks and are associated or affiliated with numerous universities.
The department also participates in various academic programmes with partner institutions
The department includes also runs regular workshops.

Seminars:
This workshop takes place at least once a month (room Nautile 305, time and date as advertised); it aims to provide visiting professors and professors of the department an opportunity to present and discuss their research.
Professors from other departments, as well as PhD students, are more than welcome to attend the workshop so as to get the most recent information on the research areas developed in our department and to foster possible collaborations on common projects.
