Welcoming of professors

Meetings with other professors, immediate interviews with head faculty, the Professor’s Guide, and a prepared environment enable new professors to feel at home quickly.
Teaching at the ESSEC Business School

A people-sized campus

New arrivals can quickly meet and get to know their colleague in the administrative building, where the entire faculty is located. Participation in general faculty meetings rapidly provides an overview of current events in faculty life as well as an opportunity to take part in discussions on course-related issues. New professors are promptly included in various committees whose sessions are a regular part of academic life.

A series of interviews

In the days following their arrival, new professors have individual meetings with the President, the Dean, the Directors of the Research Center and Doctoral Program, Program Heads, and heads of education services (Educational IS services, the Library, and so forth).

A detailed professor’s guide

Upon arrival, all new professors receive the “Professor’s Guide to ESSEC” from the Dean of Faculty. The booklet presents the philosophy and organization of the institution, the faculty and its functioning, major academic services such as the Research Center and the Doctoral Program, and last but not least, practical advice to ensure the new professor quickly feels quite at home in a new environment.
