Health Technology Assessment Program (HTA)

Definition, Objectives, Methods and Contribution to Decision Making is one of the executive short programs provided by the Institute. This short educational program is designed particularly for executives in charge of designing and implementing rules and regulation for the access to healthcare technologies in their respective countries (eg. policy makers, national and regional health authorities, health insurers, health care providers).

Global aim

To provide participants with a practical framework for Health Technology Assessment based on precise definitions and standard methods. Case studies from Europe will be presented to benchmark different models, with their purposes, successes and failures. This framework will allow participants to draw lessons to benefit their own systems.

Pr Gérard de Pouvourville, PHD Economics: Chair Professor for Health Systems in ESSEC (hospital funding, health economics evaluation and payment systems)

Annie Chicoye, MS Political Science: Executive Director for Development, ESSEC Institute of Health Economics and Management (health policy, pharmaceutical and medical devices market access in Europe and health care services evaluation)

Guest speakers from Asia and Europe are regularly invited to give lectures and to coach workshops
