The gala weekend may be over but ESSEC’s Centenary celebrations will continue apace over the next few months, at home and abroad.
The highlight of the summer period comes in the form of the annual “Tremplin” entrepreneurial competition, to be held at its traditional venue of the French Senate in central Paris on July 3-4. This year’s edition will be notable for the submission of Synthesio, a student-led project hosted by the ESSEC Ventures business incubator.
The Centenary flame will continue its round trip of the world with international alumni events in Switzerland (in September), the United States, Brazil (both in October) and, towards the end of the year, an Asian tour taking in India, South Korea, Japan, China and Singapore.
The major academic event over the summer period begins on August 29 in the form of a 4-day conference examining the issues of Sustainable Development and Territorial Governance. This event will take place at ESSEC’s Cergy campus. Also taking place at Cergy early next academic year will be a special Centenary graduation ceremony for the MBA class of 2007.
A look back at some of the summer events will appear in the next issue of the International Newsletter. A detailed look back at ESSEC’s past will also be published (in English) at the end of the summer in the form of a luxurious photographic history of the School. Further information on this and updates on recent events are also available via the official Centenary website, developed and run by members of the ESSEClive student association.
