To live at Cergy le Haut Residence

“The Cergy le Haut Residence is a true melting pot !”

Michel Mouawad shares his time between his first year of studies in the ESSEC MBA and his student club responsibilities as Vice President of ESSEC Lebanon. His life at Cergy le Haut is both relaxing and an intercultural experience, a happy part of his daily life!

How would you describe life at Cergy le Haut?

The atmosphere is relaxed and very international. There are many activities in this residence (squash, tennis, workouts, television) that help us relax. In addition, the various services (laundry room, meeting room, distributor machine…) offer a good level of comfort. Added to that, the residence is a 5 minute walk from the railroad station and the center of town (with a multiplex cinema, a supermarket, a videotheque…).

How does living at Cergy le Haut enrich your experience as a student?

The Cergy le Haut Residence is a real “melting pot” of people from very different cultures, making it possible for each of us to discover various customs and traditions and to create networks in all parts of the world. As for studying, the environment is very calm, making it easy to concentrate when exams come around!

What memories will you take away of your life in this residence?

One thing is certain, life in this residence will remain an unforgettable experience long after my studies at ESSEC are over. Everyday life reminds me of the film, L'auberge espagnole. We are with friends from a number of countries and there’s a real exchange of traditions among us. I invite all students to have such an enriching experience of community life, and I’m sure no one will be disappointed!
