ESSEC: student associations

Student associations: On the Cergy campus, one of the ground floor wings is devoted to student clubs. Easy to identify with its colorful decorations and cheerful posters, it is the place where students create and manage the activities that enliven school life and contribute to the reputation of ESSEC. The clubs focus on sports, professional activities, culture, humanitarian aid, public affairs, or foreign countries. See the ESSEC student web site for more details.

The ESSEC Student Council

In charge of organizing social life at ESSEC, coordinating club activities, and entertaining students with numerous evening events, the ESSEC Student Council is elected each year in May following a three-day campaign.

A complement to learning

Certain programs leave time during the week for students to take part in club life. In certain cases, significant club work can be validated as part of the professional experience required to obtain the degree. Most programs have their own student councils, also linked to alumni associations. Alumni participate actively in the development of their younger peers.

Widening horizons

During their programs, ESSEC Business School students may take part in a number of activities in parallel to their studies: organizing evening events, international sports tournaments, concerts and plays, inviting political and business figures to debates, travelling the world (or next door) to distribute books and assistance to people in need, helping others discover their culture, managing their associations, welcoming international students, running a radio station, and so forth.

Developing a wide range of skills and values

Clubs are part of the ESSEC culture: discussion groups, support systems, political and social debates, conviviality, effort, creativity, and entrepreneurship are all values transmitted by clubs.
