Biographie

Using sociocultural perspectives, Lez investigates how entities, such as ideas, products, people, and experiences, are valued in the marketplace. Her research takes place in contexts with broad societal and public policy impact such as complex health markets, changing institutions, and constrained technology consumption.

She has published her work in influential marketing journals and presented her research in a variety of international conferences including Association for Consumer Research, American Marketing Association, Consumption Culture Theory, Macromarketing Society, and Bringing Institutional Theory to Marketing. Prior to entering UIC, Lez spent over 15 years addressing social and economic justice issues ranging from affordable housing, homeownership in low-income communities, consumer financial protection, and quality public education.
