Do I have the profile that fits?

  • Have you obtained or are currently pursuing a non-French 3-year bachelor’s degree (minimum level) in any field of study (engineering, sciences, business, management & economics, humanities & social sciences, law, health, political science & international relations, architecture & real estate, etc.) from a top university/school? 
  • Have you completed your degree of which three years were done outside of France?
  • Are you open-minded, internationally oriented, sensitive to the world around you and have leadership potential?
  • Do you have little or no graduate work experience and are you under 32 years of age?

Intake: September 16, 2019 (for French speakers starting in France and for all candidates starting in Singapore) and August 26, 2019 (for non-French speakers starting in France).

*Preselected Universities - Fudan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nanjing University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Sun Yat-Sen University, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, Zhejiang University. Students from these universities may also apply later in rounds 1 to 4. 

Admission Process

STEP 1: Prepare the tests

You will need to provide:
- 1 Aptitude test score
- 1 English test score - exempted if native-speaker or have spent last 3 years in an English speaking university

These can take several months to prepare and to register for an exam slot. Keep this in mind before starting your application as without these test scores it will be incomplete.

STEP 2: Start your online application

The application form is to be filled in online. Create your candidate account. You will receive an email with your login and password. These are required each time you sign in so don’t lose them! You can fill in the online application at your ease and come back to it at any point.

STEP 3: Gather supporting documents

A complete online application includes the following items. Incomplete application will not be processed.

Degree(s) obtained Authenticated copies of official degrees since high school (school leaving). 
Certificate of Attendance is required if you have not yet graduated
Transcripts/Grade Sheets Authenticated Copies of official transcripts from all colleges and universities, including exchange programs. 
Grading System details must be provided.
2 x Recommendation Letters
One academic and one professional reference is recommended.
It is the applicant's responsibility to enter details of both the referees as soon as possible to allow them to send the online letter of recommendation on time.
Once you enter their details and save, a link is sent to them immediately to fill out the letter online.
1 Aptitude Test  You will need to provide official test score report. 
1 English Test
1 Identity Card Copy of Passport, or National Identity Card, etc.
1 Photograph A recent photo
Application Fee Non-refundable fee of 100 €
All documents must be provided in English or French.
Official translations will also have to be provided for documents in other languages.
STEP 4: Submit your application

You are allowed to fill in only one application per academic year (Cergy or Singapore). There are several rounds of admissions. Once you have submitted your application online you cannot make changes on your application.

STEP 5: Get your shortlisted results

- Each part of your application will be thoroughy studied. 
- You will be notified via email. 
- Then you can access the result via your application summary.

STEP 6: Sit your interview

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for an interview. 
- In person - on the Cergy and Singapore campuses or at one of our regional offices, when possible. 
- Via videoconference, if required.

Objective of this 45-minute interview:
- To understand you better: your personality and your values
- To evaluate your professional and personal project and its coherence with the program

STEP 7: Get your admission results

The jury will then deliberate on your overall application and decisions will be submitted to the Programme Director and ESSEC Admissions Committee.

STEP 8: Secure your seat

If you have been successful, you will then be contacted by a member of the admissions team who will tell you how to go about confirming your place in the program. This will include paying a non-refundable deposit of €6,000 which will then be deducted from your tuition fees.
