AAIMHI is the alumni association of the ESSEC Business School - MBA in Hospitality Management Paris, which operates independently from the school and serves over 1,300 alumni worldwide. As an ESSEC Hospitality (IMHI) alumnus, several membership options (AAIMHI, ESSEC and/or Cornell) are available to you. Your dues and donations are important to the schools and the alumni associations and they will impact the lives of both students and alumni. We thank you for your continuous support.

Dubai Get-Together December 12h 2011

Geneva Get Together September 19th 2011

An informal get-together took place at the Moevenpick Hotel & Casino Geneva on September 19th . A special thanks to Nicolas Myelan H83, General Manager of this property and AAIMHI Honorary President. who hosted the event and Charlotte Regnard H03 who organized it.

General Assembly June 23rd 2011, Paris

Charles Lüthi '83 and the board have been reelected at the head of AAIMHI. Monika Moser H10 joins the board and will be heading a new project called the AAIMHI Industry Leaders Society, pertaining to networking for IMHI Alumni executives.
A very nice crowd of alumni and the students who assisted the alumni association during the entire year attended the general assembly and the traditional cocktail along with Geraldine Dobey, GM of the Hilton Arc de Triomphe.

Monika Moser H10, newly elected to the board, currently Rooms Division Manager at the Hotel Fouquet's Paris, was born and raised in the industry and has been working in international hotel chains since 1994. Graduated from the IMHI one-year track in 2010, she has as well a Certificate of Hospitality Management from Cornell University in Ithaca. Previously, Monika worked as Reservations Manager during the pre-opening and opening of the Four Seasons Hotel George V, as Assistant Front Office Manager during the opening of the Hilton Arc de Triomphe and as Executive Housekeeper during the opening of the Shangri-la Hotel in Paris. Being German and having lived in countries such as Venezuela, Ecuador, Brazil and Peru, Monika speaks fluent German, English, French and Spanish.

How it works
As an IMHI alumnus (diplômé de l'IMHI) you may chose a basic subscription with the alumni association of IMHI (AAIMHI) or join the main ESSEC Alumni Association.
AAIMHI services include the IMHI alumni database, selected hospitality sector job offers and recruiting companies.

The fees are:
Active membership - 25 Euros
Couple membership - 40 Euros

Note: Do not pay the 25 Euros of AAIMHI if you decide to pay the ESSEC membership dues. The AAIMHI dues are included in the 160 Euros (or more) ESSEC dues.

AAIMHI, ESSEC Hospitality (IMHI) alumni
For those interested only in the ESSEC Hospitality (IMHI) alumni network, activities, hospitality job offers and recruiting agencies and IMHI alumni database, you may want to join AAIMHI for 25 Euros and 40 Euros for IMHI couples.

ESSEC alumni
Should you decide to join the ESSEC alumni association and its 37 000 member network including the 1300 ESSEC Hospitality (IMHI) alumni, please note that the AAIMHI membership dues are automatically included in the ESSEC dues. ESSEC alumni's dues start at 160 Euros minimum including the 25 Euros AAIMHI membership, 200 Euros with the ESSEC alumni magazine Reflets. Furthermore they increase with the amount of add-on services to which you subscribe, but I would encourage you to consider such membership particularly if your interests lie outside the hospitality sector.

Cornell Hotel Society
ESSEC Hospitality (IMHI) Alumni who graduated from a two year program between 1983 and 2006 may also want to join the Cornell Hotel Society. The dues are US$ 90 and do not give right to the AAIMHI membership.

"La Vie en Rose& was the theme for a thrilling weekend of education, fun time, networking, fine food and wine, and visits to famous sites when the EMEA region held its 49th annual meeting in Paris, May 6-9 2010. CHS president Grace Leo C77 and vice president Juliette Feeney-Timsit C84 teamed with Charles Luthi H83, IMHI Alumni Association president, and Curtis Bartosik A&S89, president of the Cornell Club of France to organize the event.

In conjunction with the meeting, the School of Hotel Administration held its first international edition of the Dean's Leadership Series at Le Méridien Etoile. Dean Michael Johnson moderated "Recovery Ahead: Hospitality and Real Estate Investment in the EMEA Marketplace," which featured panelists Puneet Chatwal H91, senior vice president and cheif decelopment officer, the Rezidor Hotel Group; Martin Kandrac C96, managing director, Blackstone Group; Russel Kett, managing director, HVS London; Kirk Kinsell MPS80, president EMEA, Intercontinental Hotels Groups; Grace Leo C77, president and owner, GLA Hotels; and Nick Turner, vice president, business development, RCI.
