The session is part of a series of events held during the 3rd edition of the Involvement Week from 10th - 14th October 2016.
Abstract
What does being adventurous mean to you? In our personal or professional lives, we are often faced with the choice of taking the safe path, or exploring uncharted waters - to take a leap of faith, to be adventurous. What gives one the courage to take the path less traveled, and how can cultivating an adventurous spirit develop our tenacity for the future? When is it truly worthwhile for a multinational company to take a bold decision, upon weighing the risks involved?
In their career journeys, Mr. Jean Carrier and Mr. Pascal De Petrini have had an illustrious journey. What role did the spirit of adventure play in their lives?
As pivotal decision makers in Danone and Essilor, companies at the forefront of innovation and strongly involved in CSR in their respective industries, Mr. Jean Carrier and Mr. Pascal De Petrini will share their views on what it means to be adventurous from a corporate perspective. What drives a company to venture into uncertain territory, how far would they go in taking risks, and what culminates in decisions to go ahead under such circumstances?
Join us during the Involvement Week for a discussion with ESSEC alumni Mr. Jean Carrier and Mr. Pascal de Petrini moderated by Prof. Kevyn Yong, Dean of ESSEC Asia-Pacific.
