Thoughts from the CINI Team:

Field Research Phase in Kolkata

18/11/2016

The CINI team has finalized its work on the field during this last week. We had the opportunity to visit the rural villages where CINI is operating as well as CINI's training centers. We also contacted several companies working in India. Finally, Professor Chatterjee dropped by CINI's campus to talk about the mission and the case study. See you soon in Singapore!

7/11/2016

During this first week, the CINI team had the opportunity to meet several people within the NGO, to discover its urban units and shelters and to visit a slum on the outskirts of the town.

After one week in Kolkata, we will continue to expand our work with CINI. For the second week, the team will work and try to interview Indian and foreign companies.

28/10/2016

The CINI team is ready to leave for Kolkata tomorrow after an intensive month of work, punctuated by the pre-departure jury.
Can't wait to start this field experience!

Thoughts from the honestbee Team:

Field Research Phase in Jakarta and Taipei

12/11/2016

After the honestbee team left Jakarta, we safely arrived in Taipei. Yesterday, we met the local teams and gathered lots of precious information for our analysis. Crane, the country manager, was really nice to us and shared lots of professional experience. Today, a part of the team will shadow a 'bee' in order to better understand the life of a Taiwanese 'bee', while the other part continues to work on rebuilding honestbee's business model. Our work is going very well!

4/11/2016

After 6 days spent in Jakarta, the honestbee team's field work has been going very well! Each member of the team met many people, partners, competitors, consumers, through both formal and informal meetings - Romain loves playing futsal with honestbee's local teams!

We are confident in reaching our objectives and very happy to share experiences with the locals. All of us have experienced pretty interesting meetings with lovely people. Indonesians are really really nice to us and we truly enjoy our experience!

28/10/2016

Since the beginning of our ASP experience, we’ve learnt many things, both in terms of consulting tools, grocery markets in Southeast Asia and experiential knowledge. Indeed, Capgemini Consulting coaching sessions were very useful to help us start up our consulting mission. Meanwhile, we’ve benefited from lots of expertise from Honestbee employees and throughout all the research we’ve done for our company and market studies.

We also take a substantial advantage of the authentic dynamics of our team which allows us to brainstorm for hours, enjoy frequent working lunches and emulating together around our challenging project!

Now, our team is completely ready to go on the field for the next three weeks, 10 first days in Jakarta and then, 10 days in Taipei. We strongly believe that we will enjoy our field work and gather plenty of information so that we can better understand the local specificities of Indonesian and Taiwanese grocery markets.

Thoughts from the Maharaja Team:

Field Research Phase in India

12/11/2016

After two weeks spent in Bhubaneswar and working with Milk Mantra, we had the opportunity to meet many nice farmers and to understand their lives. We've also visited the plants, and saw all the production process for milk.
We have now one more week to work with Milk Mantra and to meet its consumers!

28/10/2016

Thoughts from the Safran Team:

Field Research Phase in Malaysia and Vietnam

17/11/2016

The Safran team finally left for a field trip and had a very warm welcome by VNH, offshore helicopter operator in Vietnam at Vũng Tàu. We had in-depth meetings with commercial, technical and procurement departments which gave us great insight on our project. We also had an opportunity to see all the helicopters in the maintenance centres and to visit warehouses! A last-minute meeting with O&G company in Ho Chi Minh city was another good surprise during our journey. See you all back in Singapore!

28/10/2016

Our team of 5 girls cannot stop thinking about Helicopter Engines day and night. The Safran Team is ready to take off to Malaysia and Vietnam for the field trip!

Thoughts from the Sodexo Team:

Field Research Phase in Perth

24/11/2016

Hi everyone, it is already the end of our fieldtrip in Australia. During the past week, we have been working without Capgemini consultants at Sodexo's office in Perth. Last week, we had the great opportunity to spend two days in a gold mine village to discover the very special life of miners in remote areas. We also lived according to their rosters basically going to bed at 9pm and waking up at 4am! This is the finishing stretch to find disruptive ideas to improve life onsite.
Such an amazing personal experience!

28/10/2016

The ESSEC Sodexo Team is now totally immersed, be prepared for our time in Perth!

Thoughts from the UrWork Team

Field Research Phase in Beijing and Shanghai

18/11/2016

Our 3-week field trip in China is now coming to its end! From Beijing to Shanghai, our numerous interviews, surveys and visits offered us a deep understanding of our topic! We are now ready to prepare our recommendations & case for the final jury in December!

11/11/2016

We continued our busy schedule in Beijing meeting URwork members and employees and visiting competitors. Freshly arrived in Shanghai, we discovered another URwork space in a completely different style and we are glad to visit very fashionable co-working spaces.

4/11/2016

We began our busy field trip in China and already visited 4 co-working spaces, had some Chinese Kongfu tea with the founder of an incubator platform, attended a startup roadshow in Tech Temple, had roasted duck, experimented with the first day of haze, met the well-known founder of URwork, had lunch with URwork’s Director of Public Affairs, started our interviews, and welcomed Professor Li.

28/10/2016

After having experimented co-working among ourselves in ESSEC for a couple of weeks, we are looking forward to visiting real co-working spaces in China. We will spend 16 days in Beijing and 5 days in Shanghai, for a very exotic field experience!
