ESSEC and the ”Préfecture de Police de Paris” sign an agreement to facilitate administrative procedures for international students

1.2.2023

With 40% international students and more than a hundred nationalities represented every year, ESSEC Business School welcomes several thousand nationals from all over the world to France. Ensuring their reception conditions and quality of life on a daily basis are among the School's priorities. To that end, Gaultier Béranger, Prefect Delegate for Immigration at the “Préfecture de Police de Paris”, and Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean of ESSEC Business School, signed a partnership agreement on Friday, January 20, 2023, to facilitate these administrative procedures.

Through this partnership, which aims to improve conditions for international students, ESSEC Business School, a world school with French roots, is demonstrating its ambition to strengthen its international mobility policy and to enhance the attractiveness of France for international students.

The School provides specific support for students wishing to enroll at ESSEC and to begin their application for a residence permit. Thanks to this agreement, applications for residence permits will now be made electronically via the dedicated platform of the Ministry of the Interior.

The “Préfecture de Police de Paris” will host training sessions for ESSEC staff, so that they can better assist students in their application process. It will also provide ESSEC staff with detailed guides (thematic sheets and information videos) that they can share with students as needed. In addition, the “Préfecture de Police de Paris” and ESSEC will maintain regular meetings to:

- anticipate regulatory developments on the subject;

- handle urgent or sensitive files;

- review the past year and prepare the upcoming academic year.

With this agreement, ESSEC can call on the “Préfecture de Police de Paris” to speak at communication events aimed at students on the theme of the right of residence.
