Bachelor ACT

ESSEC and CY Cergy Paris University have joined forces to offer a new Bachelor program: "Bachelor ACT”.
This new program is designed to prepare the new generation that will lead the environmental, social and societal transitions to come.
The first class will begin in September 2022 and will welcome 30 newstudents, ready and eager to contribute actively to a more ethical, responsible and sustainable model.

The Bachelor ACT program adopts an innovative pedagogy designed to provide students with the opportunity to make their higher education career meaningful, through inter-disciplinary projects. These projects offer a balance of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills on environmental and social issues, project management, social sciences and personal development, by combining theoretical courses and practical, hands-on experience. Aymeric Marmorat, future executive director of the Bachelor ACT program and a social entrepreneur who has founded several associations, explains that: “Each student will be able to develop their sense of initiative and ability to cooperate, thanks to projects carried out in teams and in the field”.

By the end of the program, students will have the tools they need to become entrepreneurs or work as project managers within a wide variety of organizations (from start-ups to large corporations, from SSE structures to public institutions). They will also have the option of continuing their studies with a Master’s degree in a number of fields.

According to Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean and President of the ESSEC Group, “In order to respond to today’s environmental, civic and societal crises, we no longer have any choice. We must remove our blinkers and change our mindset. The scope, speed and depth of the transformations the world is undergoing are unprecedented.” François Germinet, President of CY Cergy Paris Université, adds that: “We have put together a rich, diversified and high-quality ecosystem, reflecting the high standards of the Bachelor ACT. The versatility of the curriculum will equip students with a firm foundation in the kind of knowledge and know-how that recruiters are looking for.”
