Rabat campus

ESSEC Africa

Named ESSEC Africa, this new campus is ideally located on the Plage des Nations site in Sidi Bouknadel, in the heart of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra urban area. It offers a living environment conducive to work and the implementation of pioneering teaching methods. Since 2017, ESSEC Africa has been welcoming both initial students and executive education participants seeking to broaden their horizons and open up to the African continent. Spanning over 6,000m2, the campus is situated in an upscale residential area, just minutes away from the beach and local sports and cultural amenities. With its ideal location, it lies a mere 25-minute drive from Rabat, Kénitra and Rabat-Salé airport.

Since its establishment, the ESSEC Africa Campus teams have forged strong bonds with local stakeholders, as well as Moroccan and African political and economic leaders and community representatives, to meet the economic, cultural, and social challenges facing the continent, with a particular focus on fostering connections between Africa, Europe, and Asia.

Known as the political capital of the Kingdom, Rabat stands out for its quality of life and vibrant urban environment, boasting a harmonious blend of lush green spaces, modern amenities, and architecture fusing tradition and modernity. Moreover, the City of Light is a major academic hub in Morocco, home to renowned institutions such as Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Rabat International University (UIR), Mohammed V University, several prestigious engineering schools, and ESSEC. Rabat is a fast-changing region, at the heart of the Casablanca-Tangiers axis, poised to become the country’s economic powerhouse. It is particularly well connected, thanks to the Rabat-Salé International Airport as well as the high-speed Al Boraq train which provides access to Casablanca in just 45 minutes and Tangiers in 1h20 minutes.

Thanks to its human scale, the ESSEC Africa campus is committed to supporting the student experience by providing a range of daily services. A quality catering service is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering a diverse selection of Moroccan and international specialities.

Additionally, transportation is made easy thanks to shuttles exclusively for ESSEC students and participants, offering convenient access to Rabat’s city centre several times a day, ensuring students can take full advantage of the many activities Rabat has to offer.

Alongside our on-campus amenities, such as the gym, the fitness studio, and multi-purpose sports fields, an array of local sports facilities will enrich your experience, including a surf school and 9- and 18-hole golf courses. In addition, themed workshops are regularly conducted on campus.

In terms of accommodation, ESSEC Africa provides two student residences located just steps away from the main education building. These residences feature single or double rooms, complete with kitchens and social areas, offering a convenient and comfortable housing option.

Modern teaching spaces

A central feature of the Rabat campus, the Amphitheatre welcomes entire cohorts of students and participants at various stages of their academic journey: orientation events for the various programs (Global BBA, Master in Management), academic experiences, lectures, as well as signature ESSEC events. This space caters to a wide array of gatherings, and can comfortably accommodate up to 166 people.

The campus also has 5 connected classrooms, equipped with digital tools for interactive learning experiences for up to 60 students. Lastly, throughout the campus are a number of cozy work nooks, where students can meet for group projects or workshops.

Students and participants have access to a state-of-the-art recording studio, complete with cameras and a control room, facilitating the production of videos and the recording of audio or video content for academic projects, club initiatives, or entrepreneurial projects.

And other places dedicated to student life

At the heart of campus life lies a vibrant student lounge, providing a laid-back atmosphere, with amenities like TVs, sofas, billiards, foosball, and ping pong tables. Open until midnight daily and on weekends, it is connected to the cafeteria, another bustling hub of social interaction.

Complementing this, the ESSEC Africa campus boasts two fitness and weight rooms, and a multi-purpose sports field. It also offers a variety of sporting activities including oriental dance and self-defense classes. Cultural pursuits such as music and singing are also actively encouraged.

Since its founding, ESSEC has consistently fostered a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, integrating them into its curriculum, research, and overarching strategy.

At the Rabat campus, aspiring entrepreneurs can find support through In-Lab Africa, the continent’s pioneering platform for entrepreneurial initiatives. This platform aims to be a true catalyst for youth entrepreneurship through dedicated entrepreneurship programs and tailored toolkits for African entrepreneurs.
