Key Performance Indicators: Reflecting the Strength of the ESSEC EMBA Experience

The programs also stand out across several key Financial Times indicators, which underline the academic excellence, diversity, and values-driven approach of the ESSEC EMBA experience:

  • International Course Experience

This category recognizes the programs’ global reach and the breadth of its international components. Through immersive residencies across Europe, Asia, and North America, participants engage directly with local business ecosystems, gain cross-cultural management insights, and build lasting international networks. Combined with highly diverse cohorts and faculty representing multiple nationalities, these experiences embody ESSEC’s mission to cultivate agile, globally minded leaders.

  • Environmental, Societal and Governance (ESG)

This ranking underscores ESSEC’s long-standing commitment to shaping responsible leaders and embedding sustainability at the core of its programs. The ESG Project, a cohort-wide initiative, challenges participants to apply their strategic and managerial skills to real-world sustainability and social innovation issues. Through this and other initiatives, the EMBA programs encourage participants to integrate ethical decision-making and positive impact into their professional journeys.

  • Work Experience

The ESSEC & Mannheim EMBA ranks 13th worldwide for Work Experience, a measure of the seniority, career achievements, and management responsibilities of participants before joining the program. This reflects the exceptional profile of the cohort – composed of seasoned professionals and senior leaders from a wide range of industries. Their diverse expertise and global outlook create a rich peer-to-peer learning environment, where strategic discussions and real-world insights enhance every aspect of the experience.

Together, these results affirm ESSEC’s mission to empower leaders who combine strategic insight, global perspective, and a deep sense of responsibility – ready to drive meaningful transformation in their organizations and beyond.
