The ESSEC GMBA'23 team of the Luxury Brand Management cohort visited the LV Atelier at Asnières-sur-seine, where they were guided by Mr Thierry de Longevialle on the history and legacy of Louis Vuitton.
Louis Vuitton started his business as a trunk maker in 1854 and became the first brand to display brand logos with the infamous Monogram Canvas.
The GMBA cohort was shown a documentary and toured the museum showcasing some of the brand's original trunks, which reflected the wear and tear of life.
Louis Vuitton centered his brand around creativity and innovation, setting into motion events that would lead to LVMH, the leader in luxury today.
This visit is part of many field trips offered during the ESSEC GMBA Luxury Brand Management Track. The team left with an LV memento, feeling grateful for the opportunity.
