The I-SITE (Initiative Science-Innovation-Territory-Economy) call for proposals for which we have been preselected is part of the last wave of calls for proposals in the framework of the PIA program (French government’s “Investments for the Future” program), which aims at identifying a dozen French academic institutions for their capacity to become world-class universities, recognized for the quality of their research focusing on fields of excellence, and also for the quality of their education and their integration in the socio-economic fabric.
The pre-selection of the Paris Seine Initiative project is a unique opportunity to promote our identity and our vision in the changing national and international landscape of Higher Education and Research.
The University of Cergy-Pontoise, ESSEC Business School, EISTI, ENSEA and COMUE Paris Seine intend to transform Cergy-Pontoise’s Higher Education and Research environment and improve its visibility and attractiveness.
This project will focus on three main objectives:
- An international research university, positioned as a leading international player in the field of Social Sciences, Management and Modelling. This selective university will offer Masters and PhD level programs.
- An Undergraduate College, with the social mission of student success in the territory. This College will offered diversified, flexible bachelor-level programs.
- An international campus that will embody the renewed academic environment, articulated around an urban center and the surrounding nature, enabling a reappropriation of the banks of the river Oise and the big lakes of Cergy.
