Organized around two complementary divisions — the Learning Center and the Instructional Design Unit — the K-lab develops, promotes, and supports the use of content, tools and experiences serving teaching and research.
It brings together instructional designers, project managers, librarians, and video experts.

Design and implementation of online or blended learning solutions in collaboration with programs and faculty
Support for faculty in integrating new teaching tools and educational innovation processes
Development, dissemination, and promotion of a rich collection of academic resources
Organization of workshops and training sessions to strengthen student autonomy in information research and digital use

Developing users’ information and digital skills has always been a key priority. In coordination with programs, the Learning Center provides tailored training sessions to help students and participants master resources and strengthen their skills.
Training is also available to faculty and staff.
The K-lab is also a space for exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration based on learning by making. Workshops are designed to support all types of projects, whether academic, professional, student-led, or personal.

As part of its research support mission, the K-lab assists researchers with depositing publications, using bibliometric tools, and adopting open science principles.
The K-lab manages the ESSEC open archive portal (HAL ESSEC), particularly depositing working papers validated by CERESSEC, to enhance international visibility.
The service also monitors developments in the research ecosystem, such as the French national open science plan, new evaluation tools, and the creation of local open science barometers.

Access to the Learning Center is open to external readers with registration.
