ESSEC established the Leadership Center, which bridges academic research with high-level executive coaching. The school is renowned for its "learning by doing" pedagogy, notably through leadership seminars in extreme or real-world conditions (such as crisis management simulations) that train leaders to decide effectively under pressure.
Through chairs like the Strategy and Governance Chair, ESSEC supports major corporations in their structural reorganizations. This expertise is fueled by cutting-edge research on hybrid business models and organizational resilience in the face of global market shifts.
ESSEC co-founded Hi! PARIS, a world-class interdisciplinary research center on AI and data analysis, in partnership with HEC Paris and the Institut Polytechnique. This hub brings together over 100 researchers to foster European champions in ethical and high-performance AI.
Through its Metalab, ESSEC explores the impact of emerging technologies (Blockchain, Metaverse) on society and business. The school has implemented executive education programs that have helped thousands of leaders pivot toward 100% digital business models.
ESSEC launched Together, a holistic strategy for social and environmental transformation. It was among the first institutions to integrate ESG criteria into its entire core curriculum and created the "Impact & Sustainability Center of Excellence."
Via ESSEC Ventures, the school has supported more than 600 startups since its inception, boasting an exceptional 5-year survival rate. It also operates its own seed fund to finance innovative projects from their earliest stages.
