Essec reinvents its cergy campus
Over the coming decades, the way we work, study and live will evolve a great deal and undergo profound transformations. Fifty years after ESSEC’s establishment in Cergy-Pontoise and to be true to its pioneering spirit, ESSEC must face up to the challenges of the 21st century, reinvent itself and offer the world cutting-edge approaches to innovation.
With the Campus 2023 project, ESSEC is redefining its positioning within the Cergy-Pontoise conurbation. This new approach is underpinned by a strong focus on openness and interaction with the region, as well as a particular emphasis on the school’s international dimension, essential for fulfilling the global ambitions of ESSEC and the CY Alliance, of which the School is a member.
In order to finance part of this project, ESSEC has received a total of €19 million financial support from local authorities:
- €5 million from the Communauté d'agglomération de Cergy-Pontoise,
- €5 million from the Val d'Oise Departmental Council,
- €9 million from the Île-de-France region.
“This project for the in-depth transformation of the Cergy campus is a mainstay of ESSEC’s development. It will play a key role in shaping the teaching methods of tomorrow and will transform the way we live, work and study on our Cergy campus. This ambitious project is designed to respond to the new needs expressed by our students and faculty, who now come from all continents. It positions ESSEC at the level of the best international academic standards.”
Vincenzo Esposito Vinzi, Dean and President of ESSEC
